

CSC Celebrates Annual Day 2009!
November 8 is always a special day for our individuals at Center for Social Change. Exactly a year ago , on this very day, the Governor of Maryland Martin O'Malley had declared November 8 as Center for Social Change Day in the state of Maryland.
This year, Delegate Herman Taylor of the Maryland State Legislature joined the festivities and celebrated the day with our individuals, their families and staffs of CSC.
Accepting the "Community Service and Leadership Award" from Mr. Sajjan George, Chairman of the CSC Board of Directors, Delegate Taylor said that this award was very special to him and he would cherish it forever. " As I do the rounds in the Assembly, you are always in my thoughts," said delegate Taylor. Addressing the gathering, Delegate Taylor added, " I appreciate the work of the dedicated staffs of CSC and thank you all for your service to individuals with intellectual disabilities."
Earlier, our individuals arrived and were escorted by their staffs. A medley of cultural activities enthralled all present. A clown was at hand and had all our individuals laughing to his pranks. The Baltimore Ravens Mascot entertained our individuals and posed for photographs with all. The DJ belted out the latest chartbusters, which had our individuals dancing throughout the evening. The Victory Marshall arts school gave a breathtaking display of Martial Arts exercises well.
An awards ceremony saw Mathew Williams being awarded the sport person of the year. Mr. Bundu Nasiru was awarded the employee of the year.
