A Beautiful Day for a Picnic

Every year, Audrey looks forward to seeing her friends for a picnic in the park. On Friday, August 21st, Center for Social Change hosted its Annual Picnic at Columbia’s Centennial Park.

All staff and individuals were in attendance for the big event-a sunny, family-oriented occasion with a Hawaiian Luau theme. Individuals took part in dancing and games, but the majority of the day was spent eating! Whether in the pavilion or at picnic table scattered outdoors, everyone enjoyed the char-broiled hamburgers and hotdogs that the CSC “chefs” were barbequing all day long.

Energetic music was provided by one of our very own individuals, the outgoing DJ Nathan (also on the Board of Directors), who kept the party lively with his favorite tracks. As the music spilled out of the pavilion, people danced, socialized, and even let a few balloons fly up into the sky. What a beautiful day of festivities, food, and fun-Audrey can’t wait until next year’s picnic!
