It is the person who taught you to throw that perfect curved ball, or sat in the front row to cheer you on, even when it was embarrassing. These are the little moments that volunteers experience every day.

“In the beginning, I thought I would just be helping a child, but now Samira is like family an extension of my life. Initially I had planned to volunteer for a short time. Today if you ask me, the answer would be …forever” says Arun who volunteers with one of our CSC India affiliates, that works among children with Autism.
Sadhika in another CSC India Affiliated program for children with developmental disabilities says, “I had gone through a rough patch in my life till I met Apurva. When I started volunteering at CSC it was hard to look at 15-year-old Edmond and imagine him 10 years ago. And it's even harder to see this smiling, confident young man, and know all the tough times he's been through. But then I realized I was smiling too."
