Clarence

Antonio - Individual in Residential Program

What a Success! Center for Social Change was very proud of Clarence for the MACS award that he received two years ago for his excellent achievements in productivity and growth. Since coming to CSC five years ago, Clarence or "Ernie", as he likes to be called, has been a definite role model for the other individuals of our program. He has been nominated not simply because he has been an excellent example to others in a similar situation but because he is always willing to help others whenever he can.

He has been an excellent housemate to the other individuals in the residential program and constantly displays assistance to others that need more staff attention than he needs. This has made their transition in the community that much easier and more importantly they have looked up to him as a kind of "big brother" and role model. In addition, Ernie has been promoted by his current employer and has been labeled as an "excellent" employee. Ernie has overcome many obstacles and consistently manages to work things through with positive behavior. Through his example, he has shown that anyone can adjust to a tough situation with the "right" attitude and making the best use of the "right" resources in the community. Congratulations Ernie on your outstanding achievements!
